“Home is a place you grow up wanting to leave, and grow old wanting to get back to.” –John Ed Pearce
I have always known that I would leave my hometown for bigger, better things. What I wasn’t prepared for was the moments when my heart just aches for the giant oak trees with their Spanish Moss laden branches, sunsets on the bay, sweet tea, and southern hospitality. Here I am, years later, with a life that I love. Yet I am still haunted. You can take the girl out of the south, but you can’t take the south out of the girl. This blog is the tale and the everyday musings of a southern girl living in a mid-west world and blogging randomness along the way.
